Canon FD 35-105mm Zoom lens with Anamorphic-Bokeh Modification
For sale is a Canon FD 35-105mm f3.5 zoom lens - Modified with an Anamorphic Bokeh component internally installed. This modification is a very time-consuming and complex modification.
Works nicely on Full Frame Sensors or Crop Sensors. We recommend using mirrorless camera systems for optimal results.
Canon FD Mount - You will need a Canon FD adapter depending on which camera system you’ll be using. These FD adapters are easy to find and very affordable. Camera not included.
IN SOME CASES PLEASE ALLOW APPROX 3 DAYS FOR SHIPPING AFTER PURCHASING.
This is a used vintage SLR lens that has slight cosmetic and optical flaws (meaning not in a New or Excellent condition). Optically speaking, we've made sure that it's still sharp and charismatic.
It has been modified internally and now shoots with a very fun and stylish Anamorphic bokeh. For optimal effect, we recommend keeping the lens’ aperture as wide open as possible. We recommend using ND filters to control the exposure levels. Due to the modification process, the lens aperture may be permanently positioned at f3.5.
THIS WILL NOT STRETCH OR SQUEEZE THE ENTIRE IMAGE. ONLY THE AREAS OUT OF FOCUS WILL BE MORPHED ANAMORPHICALLY, MAKING IT MUCH EASIER TO WORK WITH IN POST-PRODUCTION VS A REAL ANAMORPHIC LENS. NO DE-SQUEEZING IS NECESSARY!
We do recommend applying a vertical stretch of 3 to 4% or so, and or adding a little lens warp (both are easily done in Davinci Resolve) which gives your footage a little extra anamorphic-cinemascope effect.
Performs stylishly on its own, yet still works great when combined with other and accessories like our Prism filters and CineMist filters available HERE.
